The WYL Boys program (all grades) is affiliated with Mass Youth Lacrosse (MYL).  MYL aligns with the development philosophy and the demographics of WYL and will provide the best playing experience for the kids. 

MYL is the largest lacrosse organization in Massachusetts and WYL will play in the Northwest region, comprising of many local towns.  MYL is not grade based. It combines grades: Grades 1/2, Grades 3/4, Grades 5/6, and Grades 7/8.

There are two leagues within MYL which will benefit the development and competitive needs for our players. 

• The “Classic” league is focused on development for players at all ages. This has balanced teams that play games on Sunday. It is an eight game season with no playoffs. Typically, these teams play in the Devens Jamboree (run by MYL) in June to end the season.
• The “Select” league, for G5/6 and G7/8, is focused on competition and for players who want to play more.  This will be an additional eight games played on either Friday night or Saturday and ends with playoffs.  Players on the Select team are required to play on the Classic team as well. There will be tryouts for Select teams if your son is interested in participating.
